99%—Efficient, interleaved bidirectional DC‐DC converter with new interleaved PWM method of parallel‐connected Mosfets

Abstract A new high efficiency interleaved pulse‐width modulation (HE‐IPWM) method using parallel‐connected Mosfets is presented. The IPWM evaluated a bidirectional DC‐DC converter for charging and discharging battery. results show an excellent DC voltage gain without extremely large duty cycle. Compared with conventional (CPWM), the reduces by half ripple of battery current. current four times higher switching frequency, while CPWM two higher. proposed strategy also double inductor whereas in general, equal to frequency. As result, use weight size design. Furthermore, provides best at cycle close 25%. operating stage, mathematical analyses, design guidelines modulations are explained detail. experimental 250‐W prototype confirmed circuit performance. maximum 98.9% obtained 250 W boost mode 99% buck mode.
